Assistant Project Manager

Qualifications:

  • A. or B.S. in construction management or a construction-related profession preferred
  • Minimum of two years in assistant project management experience for luxury residential renovations in Manhattan
  • OSHA-30 safety training
  • Ability to read plans and make sketches
  • Competency using: Procore, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam, and other related programs
  • Expertise in construction processes, including specialty trades, building materials and methods
  • Ability to walk around construction sites, climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding
  • Some lifting of materials and equipment, including Matterport cameras and laptop computers — up to 20 lbs
  • Ability to communicate in standard English in both speech and writing
  • Ability to effectively communicate the company’s building process and ethics to potential and current clients, as well as other project stakeholders

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage project construction from preconstruction to punch list
  • Establish relationships with prospective clients, design teams, and subcontractors
  • Assist with preconstruction
  • Develop and manage project schedules & budget
  • Establish and monitor safety protocols
  • Perform regular Matterport scans for each assigned project
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and Site Superintendent to coordinate manpower, production, and QA/QC at the jobsite
  • Setting and managing priorities of jobs at various stages of completion in a work environment that is stimulating and demanding

Work Details:

  • Job type: full-time, (salaried)
  • Work location: New York City (time split between office and jobsites)
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday (eight-hour shifts)
  • Pay: $70,000-$110,000 per year

Experience:

  • 2 years as an Assistant Project Manager at a high end residential
